Garmin G1000 is a very famous flight deck system, among trainee pilots and trainers. It is a flight deck system which is usually fitted in trainer aircraft like Cessna 172, Beechbaron G58, Diamond DA 42, DA40 etc. Now the old 2004 flight-deck is getting an update named the new Garmin G1000 NXi. Garmin has a host of features and options with this new entrant.
The new G1000 NXi features wireless cockpit connectivity. It meets standards of US and Europe for automated dependent surveillance(ADS) broadcast requirements as per the information provided by Garmin. New version is very lighter than the real G1000 in service b about 113 kg (250 lb approx). Garmin told that this weight saving will be very useful particularly in increasing passenger weight, baggage or fuel as needed.
