Flight data recorder of the Tupolev Tu-154B of Russia, which crashed on Black sea was found by a remote controlled vessel. It was located at a depth of 17 metres and about 1.6 kms from the shore. Large sections of fuselage, window etc. are found yet and investigation is going on. Fragments of Kuznetsov NK-8 engine towards the aft of aircraft was also found recently. All the 92 people on-board were dead in the accident and 12 dead bodies were recovered till date.
45 ships are engaged in the search and rescue operation, along with remote controlled vessels and manned submarines. The aircraft TU 154 is a triple engine narrow-body, short-medium range airliner. All the Russian TU 154 aircrafts are now grounded as per order for further investigations.
